The story
A three-section restaurant-ware grill plate from Shenango China of New Castle, Pennsylvania, in the "Roselyn" pattern. The red/pink transfer shows a coach-and-four stagecoach pulling up to a country inn, framed by a wide border of cabbage roses. Heavy vitrified china made for diners and restaurants, marked on the back "Roselyn Castle Grill Plate / Shenango China / New Castle, PA" with the Indian potter mark. Measures 10" across; good vintage condition with light wear (see condition).
