The story
Three vintage Crown Ducal English Ironstone cups and saucers in a soft cream glaze, with an embossed band of fruit and leaves on the cups and around the scalloped saucer rims. Backstamped "English Ironstone, Crown Ducal, A.G. Richardson, Staffordshire, England" (saucers) and "Crown Ducal, Made in England" (cups). Sold as a set of 3 cups with 3 saucers.
Condition: fine crazing in the glaze on the outside of one cup (see photo 2). Small brown spots on the rim of one saucer. Light brown discoloration on the unglazed foot rings of the cups. No chips or cracks seen. Please look at the photos carefully.
Styling ideas: afternoon tea, a cream-on-cream farmhouse hutch display, or mixing with white ironstone you already have.
Saucers approx. 6 1/2" across.
