The story

A pair of vintage Wedgwood Embossed Queen's Ware candle holders: cream bodies with a raised blue grapevine border (grape clusters, leaves and curling tendrils) circling a short candle cup. Each base is backstamped "Wedgwood of Etruria & Barlaston, Made in England, Embossed Queen's Ware." Low and steady, sized for standard taper candles.

Condition: one holder has a small dark mark on the bottom edge of its base (not a chip; doesn't wash off; see photo 3, right holder, bottom edge). A few tiny dark specks in the glaze and the raised vines, a little old wax inside one candle cup, and light grey marks on the undersides. Please look at the photos carefully.

The beeswax taper candles in the photo are not included. A pair of my handmade 100% beeswax taper candles is available for an additional $6: https://sunrisehillfarmantiques.com/shop/handmade-100-beeswax-taper-candles-set-of-2

Styling ideas: set them on the dining table or mantel, pair them with other Wedgwood Queen's Ware, or use them with beeswax tapers for the holidays.

Each approx. 4" across.

Vase and flowers not included (shown for display only). Item #A136
