Hutschenreuther Selb "Apart" Cake Platter — Hand-Tinted Italian Village Scene, 13"
$45
The story
A charming mid-century German porcelain cake platter (Tortenplatte) from Hutschenreuther of Selb, in the "Apart" shape with its raised teardrop rim. In the center, a delicate hand-tinted sketch of an Italian hill town: a church tower above, a trattoria and fountain in the square, and donkeys, strollers and a lady in a yellow skirt walking her little dog. Lovely for a cake, a cheese board, or on a plate stand in the kitchen.
