Early Staffordshire Blue Transferware Relish Dish — c. 1830s–1860s
$35
The story
An early English Staffordshire relish or pickle dish in soft blue transferware: octagonal, with a molded scroll handle, a finely engraved scenic center of a grand building framed by trees with an urn and figures, and a dense scrolling border. Unmarked, as many pieces of this period are. Honest early wear adds to its story — a wonderful accent for a blue-and-white collection or a plate wall.
