The story
A Victorian covered vegetable dish (tureen) from Burgess & Leigh of Burslem, England, in the "Daisy" pattern. Trailing red transfer daisies and ferns over a scalloped, scroll-moulded white body, with gold-trimmed rims, twig-style handles and a rococo branch finial on the lid. Marked on the base with the Burgess & Leigh globe backstamp, "Semi Porcelain England", "Daisy" and a registration number of about 1896. Measures 12" handle to handle; the lid is original and in good condition (see condition notes for age wear).

- Good — No chips or cracks seen on the lid rim, finial or handles in the photos. Age crazing to the glaze, light rubbing to the gold trim, and some light staining and wear on the unglazed foot rim underneath.
