Antique J. Pouyat Limoges Floral Plates, Set of 6 (2 Larger, 4 Smaller), Pink & Gold Wildflowers, Scalloped Rim

Six antique French Limoges porcelain plates by J. Pouyat: 2 larger plates (approx. 9 1/4") and 4 smaller plates (approx. 8 1/2"), all with sprays of pink, peach and golden wildflowers and a softly scalloped, embossed rim. The 2 larger plates are bright white; the 4 smaller plates have a soft cream colour toward the edges, as made. Backstamped with the green "J.P. / L. / France" mark and a red "J. Pouyat Limoges" decorator mark (see the photos of the backs).

Condition: one plate has a small chip on the edge of the scalloped rim, shown in the close-up photo; one plate has a tiny dark speck in the glaze near the rim (close-up); otherwise light age wear. Please look at the close-ups carefully.

Styling ideas: set a spring or Easter luncheon table, larger plates for mains and smaller for salad or dessert; mix with plain white dishes for a collected look; display a few on plate stands in a china cabinet or hang them as a plate wall.

Sold as a set of 6.

Vase and flowers not included (shown for display only). Local pickup only.
