The story
A classic two-pie carrier from Peterboro Basket Co. of Peterborough, New Hampshire, basket makers since 1854 (brass maker's tag on the front). Hand-woven hardwood splint with a hinged wooden slat lid and chain stay, sturdy swing handles, and the original wooden riser insert that holds a second pie. Just in time for Thanksgiving pie runs, picnics and potlucks, and handsome on a shelf between holidays.
