Vintage-Style Nantucket Style Woven Tray Basket, Wood Base & Carved Handles, 21 1/2 x 15 1/2 in.

A large Nantucket style tray basket: tightly woven cane sides on a solid wood base, with a wood rim and two carved wooden handles. No maker mark. Big enough to serve breakfast in bed or carry drinks out to the porch.

Condition: at one corner of the rim, several of the cane lashing wraps are loose and a few strands are broken and sticking up (see the close-up photo). Otherwise sturdy, with light wear to the wood base.

Styling ideas: a coffee-table or ottoman tray with candles and books; a serving tray for brunch or drinks on the porch; a catch-all on a kitchen island for fruit, bread or mail.

Approx. 21 1/2" long including handles x 15 1/2" wide.
